61 Facepalm moments: Boarding School Edition

Just because we're no longer in Hwach and I haven't been around my hilarious boarding mates for a while, here's a facepalm moments post dedicated just to them - only managed to record this few when I have to mood heh. It's very funny/blood-puking talking to them most of the time, but it's great to have them around! After all, I've grown up with them :))

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

/The one regarding the Samsung Note III
Jane: Why don't buy Note III?
Shin: I also don't know, I only know my home got a lot of notepad one
Jane: Yerrrrr I also got la!!!
I know, I know typical me. Good thing she didn't whack me

Mayxin: I don't like these clips (hair clips).. they stick out of your head..
She claims these only happens when she's bored - we disagree. She makes such comments almost every other day

Mayxin: 我记得One Day (the show) 哪里最好笑
Joyce/Xinhui: 一定不好笑的
*Everyone laughs*
Mayxin: 想想一下,真的不是那么好笑
Typical mayxin. Typical.

My mum to Mayxin when driving us down:
Ma: 哦是你啊呀,我还以为是哪一个泰国明星 (oh it's you, thought it's what Thailand star)
trolololol my mum meant 韩国名星 aka Korean star.. but she said wrongly.. HAHAH I think it's quite funny cause of the different implications? Korean is implying chio but Thailand implaying more of sex-change/tranny? No offense haha Thailand also got a lot of chio stars

Ma: 你几时长这么高 (Since when did you grow so tall?)
My mum is quite good at compli-sults don't you think?

Boarding was spraying the mozzie thing.
Joyce: OMG 像云顶 (like Genting)
Mayxin: 闻起来想我婆婆家 (smells like my Grandma's)
Joyce: 你婆婆家aedes farm ah (Your Grandma's is aedes farm?)

We were talking about most people in Korea undergo cosmetic surgery I think??
Mayxin: 你要我整容啊 (You want me to undergo cosmetic surgery ah?)
Joyce: 你不要啊…等下你生 baby过后人家sue 你啊
(Don't want, later when you give birth other people sue me)

With reference to this photo from a Korean ad, of how beautiful parents have
normal looking children cause of cosmetic surgery
/Joyce trying to troll Mayxin but failed
Joyce: you know moonlight is a reflection of a sunlight right, why vampires won't die at night
Mayxin: er maybe cause it's (moonlight) not intense enough what
Joyce: how can you come up with such logical answers?? Can't you be more normal and say like it's some UV or something

Mayxin on reading my geog A level question paper
Mayxin: what precipitation during tropical climate? 我只可以想到人家口吐白沫 (I can only think about people foaming)
All because precipitate in chem = forming of white solid

On the car with Mayxin and Joyce after gathering, talking about undang (The Malaysian Driving Theory Test, also called KPPJ)
Joyce: Aiya common sense one la. You look at the sign there you tell me what isit saying?
Referring to this sign, which means people are crossing, so look out
Mayxin: errrrrrrrrr... you're allowed to dance?
needless to say, we facepalmed. Actually, we came to consensus that she'll probably fail undang HAHAHA.

Joyce also said that Mayxin thinks that this sign.......

Is actually telling us to break dance. If Xinhui was reading this, she would clap. HAHA.

62 Facepalm moments: 62 edition

Haven't been around 62 for a really long time but here are some gems from when we were still schooling!

All the best for y'all who are receiving A level results this Monday!! Let me share this timely verse with you:

"God, thank you for the closed doors. Thank you for not allowing me to settle for second best.

God, every time I thought I was being rejected from something good, you were re-directing me to something better.

God, I pray you will give me peace when frustration creeps in. I pray you will give me strength to press on when I'm told, 'no.'

God, I thank you for teaching me that 'no' is just a step to a bigger and better, 'YES.'

Amen."

Okay now for the epic parts.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Someone in class was telling me this joke the other day:

Q: What does Jack and Mr. Bean both do? (like what are their jobs)

A: They are stalkers. Cause Jack and the Beanstalk.

/wtfwtfwtf.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Econs question stated something like "there are no rooms for discussion". Bao and I was supposed to discuss about it and write an essay outline.

KC: This kind of question confirm it's no room la!
Me: Singapore got a lot leh!! Got... hotel rooms! 8D

Another similar conversation goes like..
KC: Singapore got what seasons ah? Like a bit no season right!
Me: Got Four Seasons (the hotel)

Normally KC will go "like you ah.." then he shake his head. I'm the kind of people that is considered with hopeless lameness hehehe.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

QTK: What does the Blue white and red in the France flag represent?
Vic: ITALYYYY!

#blonde
Btw, this is taken from Wikipedia:

" The three colours are occasionally taken to represent the three elements of the revolutionary motto, liberté (freedom: blue), égalité (equality: white), fraternité (brotherhood: red)"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

QTK: Which country used to be w Pakistan and starts w a B?
Vic: BRITAIN

QTK: No a nearer country one that recently appeared in the news*
Vic: SINGAPOREEE

correct answer is Bangladesh btw. *News referred here was the one about the textile factory collapsing due to lousy infrastructural management & pressure from the MNC/local government to work even in harsh conditions.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My class has a few guys shorter than average, so there's a lot of comic relief regarding height that goes on. So this was what happened one day...

Someone:(most probably Wanlin LOLOLOL) You got chance of growing taller?
Xinyi: What's your problem?! Ask god la!

He was totally like F.M.L Not like I can do anything about it /flipstable. But I still find it funny ahaha

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yinnshan: I feel so small in this great vast world. Next to a meteor I'm just a speck of dust. WHAT ARE HUMANS. WHY DO WE EXIST!??
Shichun: To give birth to two soccer teams

/handsdownthewinner /epic
Shichun has always joked of having loads and loads of children. Two football teams to be exact AHAHHA.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Discussion during Chem class cause it's just so boring

Joyee: Shin, You hve so much white hair! You should be less stressed!
Me: I'm sure if I quit school I'll be less stressed..
Joyee: lets ask Wanlin if she has white hair!
Wanlin: nope (she was listening to us whilst trying to look attentive)
Joyee: that's good it means you're not stressed
Wanlin: -but I'm balding

HAHHA Joyee went what the shitt! ah chem lessons are so fun with these two

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weimin: OMG is that Jackie Chan??

Well, clearly not hahahah.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

During career setting, we were supposed to say our ambitions and what are we gonna do to achieve them (supposed to make us motivated to study harder, but as usual, 62 uses it as a trolling session)

Some dude: I wanna be batman!!
Jiajing: but that one need wear underwear outside..
Mr Tan: .. That's superman

#epicfail

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Econs lesson with MToh:

MToh: you guys go to which bank? OCBC? DBS?
Yinnshan: UOB
KC: OCBC
Wayne: piggy bank!

 #actcutewaynestrikesagain

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shichun: If I do a lot of chem I also chemwhore

#wisewords #punny

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The usual geog lesson.

Gomez: teacher teacher I got question to ask!!
Mrs Chua: you call me teacher I call you boy, ok? Yes, boy?

This one also happened to fall on parents day.

Gomez: Mrs Chua, I think you v pretty today!!
Mrs Chua: Are your parents seeing me today?!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Think this was during the CT session for racial harmony day

Mr Tan: How do you prevent racial riots?
KC: Firstly... We have racial harmony day. We don't celebrate but we acknowledge the day la, theres like EMB message
Shichun: And we eat Indian food!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
God I miss this bunch of people ;-;

36 Come What May x Blogshop models x Funny stuff

Life's been a mess recently, and I don't know what I'm doing. But I do know I need anger management issues. How I wish As was over and I can happily go out all day and roam about, or that I have devoted myself into blogging much earlier, and not during this period whereby I am forced to study all the time.

I have a lot of photos and experiences parked in my phone - those that I want to blog about include my first  time supporting my beloved fencers in their competition, (I didn't know Malaysia had a sports school, and I didn't know that we even had fencing as a sport - anyways so gonna take on fencing after As, it's listed right there on the right side on my blog :)) I wanted to do a review for Grin Affair and The Tiramisu Hero,  probably the only few awesome cake-in-the-jars sold in Singapore, I want to write about my Girls' Night experience with Yvonne, whereby we went to NOOKS House of Pancake and the Premiere of Iron Man 3.

Unfortunately, life has been such that I'm stuck here talking to you when I'm supposed to be doing Math. Managed to complete 2 worksheets this afternoon so phew haha. For April, it was a lot of birthday celebrations, Elect Camp and stopping myself from crawling away from reality time after time. In May, tons of lecture tests coming up, and a very grand project - also the last one that I'll be involved in for Interact is in the next month. Of course, weekends are packed too - there is Huang Cheng (bottom right), annnual HCI Chinese Drama club production. Always loved Chinese drama - and HC does a spectacular job every year. This year, my pal Soo Thong's brother is the lead actor HAHA. There has always been a saying that Huang Cheng is dominated by Malaysians, definitely true for senior batches. Not true for us. Here, the juniors are continuing the legacy now haha. Our batch is an anamoly :P And then the Faculty Outings are all going to happen. This year idk what is Athena's theme.. but last year it was WICKED, about witches and wizards.. and I was the fac witch so does that mean I'm gonna get caught this year T_T

And there are loads and loads of good shows coming out this year...

On my watch list there's Iron Man, Fast Six, Star Trek, Despicable me, Smurfs, Percy Jackson, and Hunger Games! So freaking excited I don't even hehheh. 2013 is a good movie year :) Looking forward to all the good movie dates spent with awesome awesome people this year! June holidays I'm already planning to meet my beloved Malaysian bitches and it's got me bubbling with excitement (but I've got to ground myself to stop procrastinating and refusing to do work)

Side note, I've really been into online shopping recently. And yes it was all because of The Tinsel Rack. HAHA They have my favourite set of models - I'm more for Ding Xuan and Cheryl than Melisa tho ahha. I have always wanted to get overalls and it is the picture of the left that got me so excited - also the start of my journey. Later purchased the stripey dress and others heehee.
I've concluded that this unhealthy obsession has to stop tho - or else I'll just spend hundreds online all the time. But for your reference, I prefer The Tinsel Rack and Gipsy Pixie the most, or maybe the occasional Love Bonito. People do prefer The Closet Lover too. And it's also because of this unhealthy obsession I've found many of these models' blogs to share.

One of my favourite models is Andrea Chong, who writes at 1blog2lives.com (@dreachong) I think she is really classy as compared to the average Singaporean, and her bangs are really so cute on her haha. She models for random blogshops too (such as laceandbuttons....) and she radiates happiness and joviality through photos, one of the reasons why I like her so much. Apparently she's also a show host too. But she's also a student >_> which makes me even more jealous. Maybe uni life is as such maybe? The romper she's wearing is so nice I couldn't help but to get one myself haha - I am preparing my lazy wear for uni :P there's a 10% discount for that which I missed - so yeap do remember there's discounts all over her posts!
Next one that I really like to introduce to you is Eunice Annabel, at euniceannabel.blogspot.com (@euniceannabel too HAHA). She has really sharp features, and I think that comes from the perks of being a mixed blood? I think she's just naturally very very photogenic ohmygee I jealous ): She's doesn't even need to have make up to look good - all her shots are really really good!! Her sponsors are even more than Andrea's, I think she is one of those top tier models that people look for - y'know in the same league as LoveBonito's Velda and Rachel. Looking good really has its perks I swear! Anyways Eunice blogs about good food, her party life and times that she spends with her boyfriend Fai - really sweet couple :) You can go and bloghop a bit if you want!
Last person I'll like to talk about is Sherlyn! You can find her at sherylnchanwp.blogspot.com, or @Sherlynchanwp on Instagram . You guys would probably think she's someone like Beatrice Tan or like Andrea and Eunice that I mentioned above, but no haha Sherlyn is a teacher :) It's always nice reading very fluent English, and how she would share her thoughts about God and her relationship. She is in a very very cute relationship (search #yaosher on Instagram if you're interested), sadly that was only after a painful past. But she is a rising star, now that she's starting to be models for plenty more blogshops. It does come with a price tho - her monthly online shopping can account for $500++ heh.
Anyways other blogs you might love to read (in no particular order) includes:
Heh if you wanna look for cute guys I would recommend typicalben.blogspot.com heehee ^ ~ ^

Sorry that this is a bit girl bias hahaha anyways I doubt many guys read my blog please. But nonetheless, I would recommend all of you to check out Naked Glory! They have most classic statements I've seen since a long long time - considering it's Casio, it comes quite affordable to some too! When I first laid my eyes on these pair of silver Casio watches my heart melted omg! I LOVED IT. But dammit hahah no bf to buy for or else I confirm buy a pair. Y'know someone actually told me instead of a bf I should find a girl to lesbo with HAHAHAHHAHA. I mean yea it's possible but HAHAHHAA.            Anyways the world map watch, as you can see below, is the current craze in Singapore, I have no idea why too. But do check out this shop :))

LOL Enough of my advertorials, like I v popz liddat haha. It's just my random bloghopping and stumbling into people's blogs heh. I find the blogosphere a very very interesting one. Like you can find joy and laughter in blogs such as my favourite Audrey's blog (fourfeetnine.com) I find her my favourite among the Cheesie, Xiaxue, Audrey, Bongqiuqiu group(basically popz bloggers group) and hey she's expecting her first child too hahaha. I love her sarcastic posts, super darn funny. That reminds me, previously Aud said that she finds this person in Formspring who is very funny, and after checking it out I totally agree with her haha. Come I shall document her responses before Formspring shuts down for good. I think it's very funny luh, you should read hahahah.

Anyways yeah haha all the crap heh, now I'm feeling all happy and merry teehee. Like this you know:
PS Apple Bloom is like my favourite pony since forever. And will be my favourite one.
SEE SHE'S SO CUTE RIGHT HAHAHA.

Ending off with a very nice and soothing oldie from 张学友 - 在你身边 :)

32 Of Running, Math and Jokes

I'm supposed to being doing the second part of my run now but sadly it's raining D: it's just rare that I'm spontaneous about running cause I'm too lazy to move my ass has. (Lol I actually took a photo to prove that it's actually raining and I'm not giving excuses to not run but the photo quality sucks and I can't even see if it's raining or not)

I haven't been exercising much since I didn't join back table tennis as a CCA and the fact that I'm lazy, but I think I get enough exercise playing catch with kids during CCA..? Does that count heh. But now considering the kids I handle are less sporty I forfeit that too :( but on the other hand I've been having crappy abdominal pains and yada yada so I refrain from exercising to prevent accidents from happening (yeah no joke k :p)

Cool pic of some girl running.. or floating LOL
It's been quite sometime since I actually ran (running after the bus doesn't count) and miraculously it helped me feel a lot more fresh and happy. (Even though i'm now icky and sweaty all over heh) Hmm maybe this was what people meant by running is destressing haha. My horrible headache from math is gone too! Considering that this is healthy and it burns fats, I should probably try running more after As, so shall put that on my list of "To Do After A's"! I'm like 8 months away from As and I'm already looking forward to the end lol. Typical me.

Anyways, going back to the title, math paper was today! Math used to be a bliss in primary school when I just somehow could zam everything. But since then, math has been my weakest subject in JC (I kid you not, the A+ in NY isn't worth anything coming here) and I really don't like math considering it just pushes me down to the ground D: I really can't connect the dots and apply the skillzzz sucks to be me ): And people like Tuck just go like.. "I don't need practice one leh" wtf.

THIS is how I feel about math half of the time....

(Honestly I find it weird how can someone love math, like it just brings you down all the time, kind of like a sadistic notion to harm yourself. Or maybe it's just that I'm too lousy in math to enjoy it and people feel nice conquering it. It's like you'll most likely feel nice if you're good at something) It's like imaginary and not fun at all to me!!)

HAHA Too cute already. Yes prolly need to punch something to tell the Math Dept to be more humane.
Even though batches are grumbling about the inhumane math paper today (I didn't finish the paper but it's not the first time that happens), I felt rather contented with my performance today :)
(okay don't niao first and read on )

Consider the two of my worst math paper experiences: last year promos I started tearing halfway of the paper and in sec four, blocks paper 2 made me feel so horrible I went back and curled into a ball and cried. (well I later opened my box of memories and read all the letters people gave me and felt so much happier/blessed)
LOL We all need to learn to zen to channel out that negativity from papers with the aim to bring you down
(even though they say it's only to test your abilities grrr)

Today I felt glad that 1. I was rather calm (or more like the notion that I'm-screwed-but-I-will-still-try-my-best) and that 2. I managed to really force myself to think of ways to solve that bloody question that seemed like an impenetrable fortress. I felt that my attitude to bring down the paper was much more important than the grades (even though I would lament about it later on). This is a little stepping stone to getting that A that everybody wants for math that I would want to remember in the future. I actually doubt I would be able to get an actual A for As (hahaha alliteration) but I really hope it wouldn't affect me getting into business/finance modules that I want! (Self reminder: talk to gramps after blocks!)

So good job for today Shin, now go study for your chem on Thursday!
Since we all need some jokes.. Here's some very outdated math jokes:

...and my personal favourite:

HAHAH Hope that made you laugh. It made me laugh :)
Have a good day and jiayou for remaining blocks!
